STEPHANIE REEVES, WRITER/DOT

Steph is an experienced independent theatre actor, producer and director and has performed in various productions in the UK and Australia. Home Country is Steph’s playwriting debut.

Directing credits include Helter Skelter and Love Me Tinder (Dark Matters Theatre co). Producer credits include Land of the Dead & Helter Skelter, Speaking in Tongues (Dark Matters Theatre Co) and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Gamut Theatre Co). Acting Credits include Land of the Dead (Woman), Speaking in Tongues (Jane/Valerie), Macbeth (Macduff), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Helen, Saint Monica), The Rivers of China (Katherine Mansfield), Enchanted April (Lady Caroline), The Vagina Monologues (Narrator), Lend Me a Tenor (Maggie), In Basildon (Shelley), Lord Arthur Saville’s Crime (Sybil)

Steph has trained at AMAW Sydney, Darlo Drama and studied the Meisner Technique with Luke Ford.

 
 

 

GLEN HAMILTON, CO-DIRECTOR

Glen is an experienced teacher, director, producer and arts professional. He has directed over one hundred theatre productions, including small independent shows, touring performances and a range of fringe and festival productions. His directing credits include Love Song (Little Cup Productions), Corporate Vibes (Pursuit Productions), Closer for the Sydney Fringe, The Removalists and We’re Bastards which launched the very first season of plays at The Old 505 theatre.

Glen is Head of Acting at the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television (AFTT) where he teaches acting and has directed numerous student productions over the last 10 years. Glen has taught The Actors Lab at Darlo Drama since 2009, as well as the Ensemble Showcase.

Glen’s expertise has been recognized by Bauer Media, through his invitation to judge the Most Outstanding awards for the TV Week Logie Awards, since 2013. He has also accepted judging appointments with the Short + Sweet Festival, and Sydney Festival.

 
 

 

ROMNEY HAMILTON, CO-DIRECTOR

Romney is an actor, voice over artist, director, yoga teacher and very proud owner of Darlo Drama.

Romney is an acting graduate of AFTT and her most recent theatre credits include ‘Molly’ in Love Song (Little Cup Productions for the Sydney Fringe Festival), ‘Elizbeth/Nikki/Isabelle’ in Control (New Theatre), ‘Lady Macbeth’ in Macbeth - The Installation (Barestage Theatre), ‘Rose’ in Scarecrow, for which she was chosen as Suzy Goes Sees’ ‘Top 5 Best Supporting  Actors for 2018’ (Deadfly Productions), ‘Paulina’ in The Winter’s Tale (Secret House), ‘Pisanio’ in Cymbeline (Secret House), ‘Ros’ in Henna Night (Mercury), ‘Alice Flack’ in That Eye, The Sky (New Theatre).

Recent directing credits include Sunrise by Louis Nowra, Websters Bitch by Jacqueline Bircher,  DNA by Dennis Kelly, An Ordinary Person by Robert Allan, 100 Reasons for War by Tom Holloway, Welcome to the Moon & Other Plays by John Patrick Shanley.

MUSKAN GUMBER, KHUSHI

Muskan is an actor who completed her training at Darlo Drama and has studied improv with Improv Australia. Her recent credits include playing Eileen Osbourne in The Cripple of Inishman, Birdie in Shooting Stars by Molly Neuman, and Ross/Lennox in Shakespeare's Macbeth.

 

 

SUSAN JORDAN, JANE

Susan has extensive experience as a stage and screen actor. She is also a director. Starting in The Rocks Players in 1979, she trained under NIDA tutors Bill Pepper and Anthony Barclay. She has performed in outdoor productions of Shakespeare, street theatre, pub theatre, and immersive theatre (Deadhouse: Tales of Sydney Morgue – Louisa Collins). Sydney theatre highlights include: The Stoned Ape (Counsellor Cunningham); The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Host); Lady (Mother) KXT, The Chocolate Roster (Caroline); Inner Weather (Doon); Henry 1V, Parts 1 & 2, (Mistress Quickly); A Passage to India (Mrs Moore); Neighbourhood Watch (Jovanka); Nell Gwynn (Ma Gwynn); Vincent River (Anita); Metamorphosis (Mrs Samsa); Fee Fi Fo Fum (Queenie) and Tales of Dark Knitting (downstairs Belvoir Street Theatre). She has trained with Kevin Jackson, Eamon Flack, O'Punsky Theatre, Jo Briant, and physical theatre (Shinbutoh). Susan started a long association with the New Theatre in Newtown in 1982, and has appeared in 14 of their productions to date. She is currently on their playreading committee. In 2006, she co-produced the radio program “Give My Regards to Stalin” for ABC Radio National’s Verbatim.

 
 

 
 

GIDDY PILLAI, IRENA

Giddy is an actor, singer/songwriter and writer based on Gadigal land. Her recent theatre credits include Sunrise (Venice, Eva), DNA (Jo, Adam), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Billy), Macbeth (Lady Macduff) and Shooting Stars (Tammy). She also composed original music for a production of Neighbourhood Watch and was part of the writing team for a new concept musical called The Breaths In Between, produced by Melbourne-based company Eleven O’Clock Theatre. She is looking forward to being part of her very first Sydney Fringe Festival.

 
 

ABI RAYMENT, MOTHER

Abi trained as an actor in London and worked for 10 years in UK theatres. After moving to Australia with a young family, Abi returned to acting in 2008. She has worked in TV (BBC, Ch7, Ch9), commercials, short films and stage. Sydney theatre highlights include, Parramatta Girls (New Theatre), Bloody, Bloody, Andrew Jackson (Squabbalogic), The Hiding Place (ATYP), The Laden Table (bAKEHOUSE Theatre) and recently, Softly, Surely (Subtle Nuance). New writing is of great interest to Abi and she is delighted to join Little Cup in Home Country for the SFF.

 
 

JOEL MONTGOMERY, STAGE MANAGER/LIGHTING DESIGNER

Joel is an emerging theatre practitioner currently in his final at The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). This is Joel’s second show with Little Cup Productions working as lighting designer for 2022’s production of Love Song. Through his studies Joel has also had the opportunity to work on a number of shows including The Wasps (Lighting Designer), The Magic Flute (Head Electrician), Just Macbeth! (Deputy Stage Manager) among many others. In addition to his studies Joel has worked on Webster’s Bitch (Stage Manager) with Talk house Productions as well as various community theatre productions.

 
 

ABIGAIL MONTGOMERY, SOUND DESIGNER

Abigail is a Sydney based, emerging artist, working primarily with interactive sculptural installations and immersive sound. Abigail is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art and Design, majoring in sculpture, sound, and printmaking, seeking to create work for the gallery space, theatre, film and public spaces.
